I didn't realize that the tradition of coloring eggs comes from the celebration of life, women, and their eggs. Kevin and I aren't religious, and we want Sophia to be openminded, so I really loved that this book was celebrating all forms of life from many perspectives.

I thought the origins of Easter were purely religious (ie. Jesus' resurrection), I guess the book may have been about the modern celebration of Easter.
I really love the picture of Sophia with her sunglasses! sooo cute.
